Account    Why? Why not!

We’re at Homewood Suites in Billerica, MA. Theoretically. I say theoretically because everything I see suggests we’re in Bedford. But, who am I to argue with the address listed on their stationery & telephone?

Yesterday, we left home at about 8:30h, and arrived in the Boston area at about 17h. The traffic wasn’t too bad. We did a short detour around traffic on the Merritt Parkway.

After checking into the Homewood, we picked up Katie & Afra at West Hall – where Katie lived last year – then drove to the Out of the Blue seafood restaurant in Somerville. Excellent food, and free parking. What more can you ask? I had the mixed seafood linguini with the Fra Diablo sauce – a spicy red sauce.

Today, we breakfasted at Homewood – eggs & sausage – then I did a couple of hours of work. After that, I trotted six miles through the streets of Bedford. We’d agreed to pick Katie up near ASC at about 13:30h. Unfortunately, we hadn’t bargained on there being a Columbus Day parade. So, we didn’t actually pick Katie up until after 14h.

We set a course for Cider Hill Farm in Amesbury, MA. Just picture it…

After Cider Hill, we changed our reservation at the Longfellow Wayside Inn from 5 to 6, then bopped over to Sudbury (near Lincoln) for dinner. Karen & I had the Yankee pot roast, but Katie was the big winner with sole stuffed with lobster & shrimp and Newburg sauce. After dinner, we dropped Katie at home & got back to Homewood at about 20:30h.

I’m testing Verizon Broadband Wireless. The speed at home was awful – only about 100K. Here, however, it’s about 700 to 800K – faster than Homewood’s DSL. I haven’t decided whether to keep it. I have 30 days to decide.
