I'm trying to figure out if the temperature spikes between 14h and 16h this afternoon really occurred, or were because the sun managed to peek through the trees at the remote sensor. Given that both spikes coincided with dips in the relative humidity, I suspect that they were the result ...

Before leaving the Richmond area this morning, we drove past Randolph Macon. Playing "Garmin roulette," something I didn't know about appeared on the list of attractions — an observatory. The Keeble Observatory is not huge, but it is cute.
After that detour, we set a course for the Tarntip Thai restaurant ...

We had a corner unit with a wrap-around balcony… the one in the middle of the three floors shown below.
Here's the condo's association president.
Here's the board of directors.
And here's ...

We're at the Anderson Resort in Myrtle Beach, SC. This time of year, a 2-bedroom condo (with three balconies, three HDTVs, two bathrooms, a kitchen, and a partridge in a pear tree goes for about $80 a night. The furnishing are upscale. My only complaints as of about an hour ...

Update: American Express called again while we were out at dinner. Left no message. But, they just called again! They must like the 8:00 - 8:30 time slot. A real human this time, though. He said they're looking for someone named Christy something who gave this number as hers. He's ...

On New Year's Day, we drove through a picturesque town called Matlacha. Katie pointed the camera out the window as we drove through, and here are the pictures she took.

Yesterday, Karen woke up with a stomach virus of some kind, and begged off of most of the day's activities. So, Katie & I decided to hit a couple of parks. First, we went to Six Mile Cypress Slough Preserve. All told, it's about two miles of boardwalk that traverses ...
