Art by Nora DeBolt

September 30, 2011 21:17 – 21:17

Normally, I’m pretty oblivious to hotel room art. In our room last night, however, were a couple of beautiful prints. The paintings were done by a little-known late 19th and early 20th century American impressionist, named Nora DeBolt. I took pictures of the prints, and cropped out bits of wall and frames.

  2. I have this print (first one) at our house as of yesterday when I bought it at an MCC Thrift Shop here in Abbotsford B.C. So beautiful! Can you tell me more?!

  3. I haven’t been able to learn anything about her. When I search for her name, all I find are people saying that they also searched, but basically came up empty. An artist named Suzie Lewis has pictures of a number of Nora DeBolt’s works, as well as a description of her own fruitless search for information about Nora DeBolt here: http://joslynhighlander.wordpress.com/2010/10/17/about-nora-debolt/

  4. I have both of these prints that I found while cleaning out a vacant apartment. I have no clue as to what there value is but they are very well done.
