Him Her Him Again the End of Him, by Patricia Marx

Mini Book Review. Yesterday, I finished reading (listening to, actually) a Patricia Marx book called “Him Her Him Again the End of Him,” narrated by Hillary Huber. It’s one of the funniest books I’ve read in a long time. If you read it, don’t skip the appendices. Yes—appendices. Hillary Huber conducts a wonderful interview with Marx at the end, so if you listen to the audio book, it’s a nice treat to hear the author’s own voice.

The book reads like a memoir… I won’t tell you if it’s true. You can find out at the end. My normal fare comprises mysteries, suspense, and thrillers–with lots of blood and well-deserved killing–although, laced with humor helps (I recently discovered that Dexter is based on a series of novels written AND narrated by Jeff Lindsay, and am slowly devouring the series). But, every few weeks, I find something really really light to cleanse my palate, and this book served that purpose quite nicely. Alas, I long ago finished everything P.G. Wodehouse and John Mortimer wrote, so discovering Patricia Marx is a nice treat.
