Sioux Falls… and nobody catches it!

June 27, 2013 18:50 – 18:50

I’m at the Comfort Suites in Sioux Fall, South Dakota. I spent a while at the Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge in Minneapolis this morning, then had lunch had Subway, and then headed southwest to here. I plan to be here for two night.

First, there are things to do in this area. Second, I need to get my 30,000 mile service done tomorrow on the Passat, and the trunk needs to be accessible. I suppose I could’ve just crammed tons of stuff into the back seat. But, given #1, I thought I’d go ahead and stay in one place for a day and a half… for a change.

The internet here is all wireless, so I can’t do my router trick. However, it seems suitably fast enough at 4M/4M. Either it’s synchronous, or the download speed is tamped down because of daytime usage. Either way, it should be adequate.

It’s not exactly cool here—upper 80s. But the humidity is about 20%, so it feels a lot nicer than the thermometer might suggest. The forecast calls for cooler temperatures (the 70s with lows in the 50s) over the weekend. So, I’ve got that to look forward to.

Anyway, that’s all for now. More after I’ve actually done something here.
