Woburn Residence

May 2, 2014 13:55 – 13:55

I’m at the Residence Inn in Woburn, Massachusetts for the next three nights. The internet speed here (I bought the “enhanced” speed for $5/day, but it might be free to me because I’m an Elite member) is acceptable, but not stellar. Unless something goes horribly wrong during this stay, this will become my new “go to” place to stay whenever I visit the Boston area. The hotel is relatively new and the room (a studio queen) is spacious, and includes a kitchenette. It has a stovetop with two burners, but no oven. So, I’ll have to limit my baking activities.

The ride down from Scarborough was uneventful and relatively fast—about 90 minutes, or so. I checked in early so I could unload my stuff. Once ensconced, I went out for 5.5 miles to top off my daily 8—important to me, since I only got about 4 miles in yesterday.

Here’s where I’m staying:

Along my walk, here’s some of what I saw. There are some lovely beds of tulips around the hotel.

For dinner, I picked up a salad, baked chicken, and a demi-wheat baguette from The Marketplace.

Tomorrow, I’m hiking and maybe getting lunch from Hingham Lobster pound, then picking Liz up for a hike in the Blue Hills Reservation.
